Who sees what you share?

Before you share, you should know who can see it. Here's how friends, optional details and automatic expiry work in Friendground.

You use the app, your children don't need to

You decide which place to share as an adult. Friendground doesn't track your children or create accounts for them.

Your friends can see your updates

Updates are visible to people you’re friends with in the app. Remove or block someone to stop them seeing your updates.

Children’s names are optional

If you'd like, you can include a freely chosen name or nickname for this visit. Nothing is preselected, and you can leave these details out entirely. We don't ask for children's ages, dates of birth or gender.

Choose a place yourself

You can choose a playground yourself without granting location access. If automatic playground detection is available and you choose to enable it, it uses your precise location on your device, including in the background with your permission. You can turn it off at any time.

Updates end automatically

You can also end an update early. Text replies and quick responses are deleted 12 hours after it ends. The exact coordinates of a temporary map pin are deleted within 24 hours of the update ending.

If something goes wrong

You can block people and report problems in the app. If you want to delete your account, you can do that in the app or ask us by email.

There's always more to catch up on

Bring Friendground along next time you head to the playground, and invite the friends you and the kids would love to see there.
