Terms of use
Last updated: 7 September 2026
These terms apply to the Friendground website and app, operated by Michael Tannenbaum under the name Pixelbaum. The terms of the store used to download the app also apply to that download.
1. What Friendground provides
Friendground helps adult parents and caregivers share an approximate personal place and time with confirmed friends and respond to their updates. It is not an emergency service, childcare service, public people finder, event organiser, or guarantee that anyone is present.
2. Accounts and eligibility
Friendground is for adults aged 18 and over. Children do not create accounts. Keep sign-in methods secure, use a name your connections can recognise, and provide accurate information where needed for the service.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use Friendground to harass, stalk, threaten, impersonate, spam, expose private addresses, share unlawful content, bypass access controls, scrape private updates, or infer a child's location. Pornography, sexual exploitation, hate speech and graphic violence are prohibited. Child sexual abuse and exploitation are strictly prohibited, including grooming, sexual extortion, trafficking and any depiction of child sexual abuse, including generated images. Report concerning content or accounts in the app and block unwanted contact. Michael handles safety concerns at hi@friendground.app. Do not send or redistribute suspected abuse images by email; identify the relevant account or in-app report instead.
4. Your content
You keep your rights in content you submit. You permit Friendground to process and show it only as needed to provide, secure, and operate the selected feature for authorised people and the promised deletion period.
5. Plans change
Times and playground plans are approximate. Each person is responsible for their own update and can change or end it. A reply does not create a host, attendance obligation, supervised group, or duty to wait.
6. Real-world responsibility
Caregivers remain responsible for supervision, travel, place suitability, and real-world safety. Friendground does not verify that a person is still at a place or that a playground is safe, open, or accessible.
7. Availability and cost
Friendground is initially free, without advertising or in-app purchases. We will explain any later paid features or advertising before introducing them; no charge arises merely from continuing to use an existing free feature. Maintenance and technical faults may interrupt availability. Changes to the service remain subject to your statutory rights.
8. Suspension and deletion
You may stop using Friendground and delete your account under Profile → Privacy & data, or request deletion through our public deletion page. We review reports and may remove prohibited content or restrict accounts to protect people and comply with the law. Confirmed child sexual abuse material is removed from access and reported to the competent authority where legally required. Necessary case evidence is retained separately for its limited retention period. Contact hi@friendground.app to ask about a moderation decision or request a review.
9. Liability
Statutory liability applies for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and mandatory legal claims. For ordinary negligence, liability is limited to breach of essential contractual duties and the typically foreseeable damage where legally permitted.
10. Applicable law and contact
German law applies subject to mandatory consumer protections. Questions about these terms can be sent to hi@friendground.app.
